Elmira College Student Show in Brooklyn

We are all super pumped about our opening reception today at Superfine starting at 6pm. Having a show in New York City is an unbelievable opportunity the for exposure of our work. We are extremely appreciative of owners Tanya and Cara Lee with their enthusiasm and support. Our show will be up for the next two weeks and we welcome everyone to stop by, have a drink, and enjoy some art!

What is Project DUMBO?

Project DUMBO is an immersive class in which students from Elmira College experience living in New York City led by Professor and professional artist, Marc Dennis. They explore multitudes of galleries in Chelsea, meet and greet artists in their studios and openings, try new cuisine, and visit museums including the MoMA, Met, and Frick among many more. Students were also given a tremendous opportunity to show their work in Brooklyn at Superfine on May 2nd. The 11 students on this trip share a loft in DUMBO and are expected to sketch and internalize what they have learned throughout the trip. This blog helps solidify their experiences and share them with friends, family, artists, students, and anyone else interested in Project DUMBO.
